My Approach to Therapy

I believe that we seek out therapy when we feel “stuck” in one or multiple domains of life. I see my work as a therapist much like a fellow explorer helping my clients to more fully understand areas of pain and stress in their lives, identify their sources, tap into their own internal strengths, and make meaning of their life experiences. My work is affirmative, client-centered, and collaborative. I am trained in yoga-informed psychotherapy and enjoy bringing body-centered approaches to understand the impact of certain life experiences on the body.

I believe that forming a trusting and therapeutic alliance between client and therapist is essential for treatment, and I transparently address the therapeutic relationship with my clients at all points of treatment to ensure that trust, safety, respect, and clear communication are prioritized.
