Jacque Bixby has been counseling, training, supervising, facilitating and advising people through therapy and coaching since 1997. Her passion and enthusiasm in serving the mental health needs of all communities have helped guide her life’s work as a healer. Her motto is: “Bringing out the best in people.”
Jacque utilizes client centered multi model approach when working with clients. She utilizes a cognitive behavioral approach to couples in conflict and when counseling individuals. Jacque utilizes her MBA education and study of emotional intelligence to serve as an executive coaching for professionals in leadership positions.
She also is a Master Addiction Counselor and works with multiple compulsive behavior programs. She is trained in critical incidence stress debriefing and provided training to multiple law enforcement agencies in the education of managing citizens with mental health needs. Jacque worked in Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor and mentored and assisted in the training of counseling interns.

Blue Cross Blue Shield / Healthcare Service Corp
Perform utilization review and authorizations for intensive outpatient treatment for substance abuse and mental health services. Assess medical necessity for treatment and verify provider licenses and certifications.
Viveri Youth Services
Led group, individual, and family therapy programs provided for adolescents with issues of drug and alcohol abuse. Supervised the work of counselor interns completing the requirements for LPC.

Provided sober coaching and assistance to acquiring sobriety from alcohol and drugs.

Green Oaks Hospital Psychiatric Emergency Services
Conducted crisis behavioral health assessments in the Psychiatric Emergency Room and served as first contact for both voluntary and involuntary commitments, including those in the custody of law enforcement agencies. Gathered all relevant information and assessed immediate treatment needs in a wide variety of cases including patients considered to homicide or suicide threats and those with psychosis and acute drug crises.

Conducted 10 utilization reviews daily of outpatient counseling services by private providers nationwide and contributed significantly to the development and execution of new programs designed to enhance professional development opportunities and encourage patient healthy lifestyle choices.
North Texas Behavioral Health Authority
Supervised a team of 3 social workers and administrative support staff in mediating, resolving, and reporting consumer and provider complaints regarding delivery of mental health services in a 7-county area. Contributed to a wide variety of programming improvements in delivery of mental health and social services and served as Clinical and Community Liaison between multi-county planning projects and committees to address issues in behavioral needs programming.
The Cedars Hospital
Facilitated four group therapy sessions per day. Provided group, individual, family, and couples therapy to adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients. Developed treatment plans and contributed to individual patients’ staff meetings.
Nexus Women’s Recovery Center
Provided group and individual counseling as well as utilization review in a recovery program for substance abuse and co-occurring psychiatric and substance abuse disorders (COPS-D).
