My Approach to Therapy

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I provide telehealth therapy services for children, teens, adults, and families in California. I work with those who may be dealing with life transitions, and struggling to carry the weight of school, work, or life. I’m LGBTQIA2S+celebrating,trauma-informed, and social justice-oriented.

I use a person-centered, strengths-based approach. We will utilize your current strengths and connectthem to your treatment goals. I also use a trauma informed lens to explore the various interconnected systems of oppression that worsen your stress. As an attachment-based therapist, we’ll look into the role your early childhood experiences and caregivers play in your current relationships.

I have experience utilizing various types oftherapy including acceptance and commitment (ACT), attachment-based, cognitive behavioral (CBT), compassion focused culturally sensitive, dialectical behavior (DBT), emotionally focused, family/marital, multicultural, person-centered, play therapy, psychodynamic, solution focused brief (SFBT), strengths-based, and trauma

Professional Experience:

Behavioral Health Services

I gained experience providing therapy in a school-based setting, and also have provided therapeutic services at the intensive outpatient level of care. I’ve worked as a family therapist for over 5 years, with focus on strengthening the parent-teen dynamic. I’ve facilitated process groups for high risk adolescents, along with queer and trans support groups in an online intensive outpatient setting.
