My Approach to Therapy

Lela Hernandez is a compassionate mental health therapist dedicated to helping adults navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence, resilience, and self-understanding. She earned her Master’s degree in Counseling from the University of Phoenix in Arizona and has been providing client-centered, evidence-based care since 2019.

Lela specializes in working with adults experiencing ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, low motivation, and difficulties with task initiation. She believes meaningful change begins within a trusting therapeutic relationship where clients feel safe, respected, and free from judgment. Her goal is to create a supportive environment where individuals can openly explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences while developing practical strategies for lasting growth.

Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and an eclectic, individualized approach, Lela tailors treatment to each client’s unique strengths, goals, and circumstances. Together, you will gain insight into the patterns contributing to emotional distress while building effective coping skills that promote emotional well-being, confidence, and meaningful change.

Recognizing that no two clients are alike, Lela integrates techniques from multiple therapeutic approaches to create personalized treatment plans that align with each individual’s needs, values, and goals. She is committed to empowering clients to build resilience, improve daily functioning, strengthen self-confidence, and create meaningful, lasting change in their lives.
