I am an experienced clinical psychologist, sport and performance psychologist, executive coach, author and speaker. As a partner in Giles Consulting Group, I have served as a director of sports performance psychology for the LA Clippers, mental health clinician for the LA Rams, senior sport psychologist for the US Olympic Committee, USA Track and Field sport psychologist, sport psychologist to UCLA Track & Field, Cal State University Long Beach athletics, San Diego State University Athletics, UC Davis athletics, leadership development coach for the Center for Creative Leadership, psychologist in the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, and international sport psychology presenter, instructor and mentor. I am the author of Introducing Your Child to Sports: An Expert’s Answers to Parents’ Questions about Raising a Healthy, Balanced, Happy Athlete. I have trained and developed a career in counseling, consulting, and implementing skills development programs for culturally diverse youth and adults, teams and organizations. Through a multicultural lens, I work collaboratively with clients using an integrative approach of therapeutic strategies and skills to clarify needs, identify effective treatment methods, and engage in mind-body and spiritual health.

Assess, develop, counsel and integrate innovative strategies and programs to diversify and improve the performance of individuals and teams. Deliver growth achievements with executive coaching and development strategies to mid-level managers and c-suite executives.

Director of Sports Performance Psychology, LA Clippers

Responsible for designing, selecting, developing, delivering, managing and evaluating day-to-day individual performance development programs. Designed and administered player assessments, interviewed players and consulted with scouts to deliver player personality profiles for draft selection. Designed, coordinated and executed a professional development program for rookies, 2-way players, and second year players. Assessed and assisted new-hire onboarding, career development, leadership and mental performance coaching.

Mental Health Clinician, LA Rams

Supported player mental health and development, and delivered NFL Player Engagement Rookie Programs.

Clinically assessed and treated adults from minimum to maximum security levels in correctional, segregated, and hospital housing. Administered clinical issue groups: anxiety, depression, drug/alcohol.

Senior Sport Psychologist – United States Olympic Committee

Developed and implemented performance enhancement training programs, managed daily talent development, and collaborated with National Team leaders, coaches and athletes as part of the U.S. Delegation at the Olympic Games and World Championships. Designed, taught, managed and oversaw the completion of applied research projects to facilitate the development of cutting edge programming for athletes and coaches to impact Olympic performance.

Directed health and welfare educational enhancement programming for Intercollegiate Athletics staff and student-athletes. Developed, coordinated, evaluated and analyzed psycho-educational programs and consultation activities in Counseling & Psychological Services and Intercollegiate Athletics.
